Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] The book has as its object the history of Cremona from the educational point of view in the first fifty post-unification years. It examines the evolution of the primary school, under municipal jurisdiction, between the application of the Casati law and the enactment of the Daneo-Credaro (4 June 1911). The approach adopted by the A. he wants to be interdisciplinary and makes use of his studies on political governance and on the educational events of the city between the 1800s and the 1900s. With regard to administrative history, the effort made was not to limit the analysis to the already known positions of the most prominent men, but to expand the survey to the life of local authorities.
