[Autom. eng. transl.] Starting from the statement that "the infidels are men like us and of our own nature", the article pays attention to the missionary project that animated Raymond Lullo in the desire to make the followers of the Islamic faith know the truth. The value of dialogue as the way to proclaim the Gospel (without losing its identity) is highlighted as basic elements of the Lulian method; careful preparation for dialogue, which passes through the knowledge of the language and culture of the interlocutor through specific places of study and training; the emphasis on the relationship between faith and reason as an adequate way of presenting Christianity as a "reasonable religion"; the consideration of conversion as an act of freedom that excludes all forms of violence and constraint.
