The value of dialogue as the way to proclaim the Gospel (without losing its identity) is highlighted as basic elements of the Lulian method; careful preparation for dialogue, which passes through the knowledge of the language and culture of the interlocutor through specific places of study and training; the emphasis on the relationship between faith and reason as an adequate way of presenting Christianity as a "reasonable religion"; the consideration of conversion as an act of freedom that excludes all forms of violence and constraint.
