Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] Taking advantage of some observations on the argumentative nature of the metaphor (Oswald and Rihs, 2014) and on the role of emotions and emotional language in reasoning and argumentation (McKuen et al., 2010; Macagno & Walton, 2014), we advance the hypothesis that emotions and metaphors can compete effectively in reasoning. The first step to build a model of this kind is to distinguish between different types of metaphors and emotions (Ervas et. Al, 2012; Ervas & Ledda, 2014; Rossi, 2014).
