Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] Our intention was to carry out an analysis of the Italian translations of the fantastic novels by Théophile Gautier carried out between the end of the nineteenth century and the beginning of the twentieth century. We have studied the choices and groupings of texts, their inclusion in series, the lexical choices, the prefaces, suppressions and additions with the aim of determining the role of translations in the reception of Gautier's work in Italy on horseback on two centuries.
