Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] The contribution reconstructs the genesis and the executive process of the Monument to Niccolò Tartaglia, created by the sculptor Luigi Contratti and destined for the city of Brescia. It is part of the broader valorization of the contribution of Contratti - who trained in Turin with Odoardo Tabacchi and Leonardo Bistolfi - to the monumental architecture of Brescia, in the context of the relations between the city's University and Senator Ugo Da Como of Lonato.
