In the first canzoni they mainly have the function of offering the context the most important topics, building the composition and weakening the actual interrogative value thanks to the abundance of the partial and rhetorical types and to the lack of consequential answers. This transmitting function dwindles down in the following texts, leaving room for semantically fuller questions. The operators that are functional to pointing out the interlocutor are frequent, particularly in the positive area, this implying the existence of a subject, originator of this positivity.
