One might assume that this has happened with every major international dispute and even more so continues to happen in the case of a still unresolved clash between two peoples and their national aspirations on the same land. In reality, in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict this characteristic takes on pronounced connotations due to some structural elements. Among these are the composite nature of the alignments on the field and the constant competition between irreducible visions of past, present and future.
