Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] Philosophy is a scientific discipline. Moreover, philosophy is a scientific discipline of indisputable academic dignity. This text of 1965 is a passionate peroration that overwhelmingly takes to the chest the never dormant haughtiness with which many, inside and outside the universities, look at philosophy as a series of completely useless reflections. In a world too anchored to old certainties, taken for granted but far from verified in experience, Gerhard Funke indicates in philosophy what is most needed in the contemporary world so that the human being does not stop asking the question of questions: why?
