Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] In this article the authors combine the narratological approach to the cinema and the criminological approach to the economy to demonstrate the following intuition: not only the protagonist of The Wolf of Wall Street (M. Scorsese) is unreliable as a seller, he is unreliable even as a narrator. The world that is told to the viewer through the narrative voice of the protagonist is itself manipulated and deformed. As if the fraudulent practices implemented by the broker in the financial field were used by the film's authors as a stylistic and narrative expedient.
