Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] The period considered in this volume covers a period of time that, traditionally, has been seen as a phase of consolidation and development of the analytical scheme based on the key idea of the exchange, with a partial exception allowed for the work of Keynes. This image of the decades following the publication of Marshall's Principles is probably linked to the fact that the attention of economists for the past of their own discipline has often been a reflection of the prevailing theoretical beliefs in each epoch or, at least, in each author.
