Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] Health professionals, involved in situations of existential fragility, find themselves in conditions of emotional vulnerability. Therefore, they need to acquire knowledge and tools to take care of themselves. Phenomenology represents an epistemological paradigm capable of including subjective and affective dimensions and of enhancing lived experience as a source of knowledge. In the basic and continuing education of care professionals, the phenomenological approach can provide an indication of how to support self-care through storytelling and reflexivity.
