[Autom. eng. transl.] Promoting authentic evaluation is, or should be, particularly felt in higher education because we work with young adults who are close to the professional world where, more than in the past, they have to demonstrate what they can do with what 'they know. To this perspective was inspired the experiment conducted in a course at the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart (October - December 2016). In an active didactic approach, we have chosen an evaluation strategy that allows students to mobilize knowledge and methodological skills in an integrated way by confronting a task of reality. They had to build an evaluation device based on a case (a process, a project, etc.) chosen independently; their written product, given to the teacher two weeks before the exam, was then discussed during the oral interview. Perceptions of the students were studied with a semi-structured questionnaire and a focus group; the small number allowed for an in-depth analysis of their opinions. The experiment has brought positive results either for the teacher or for the students. The latter had the opportunity to reflect on the evaluation system experimented with other practices experienced in the academic context and on learning acquired through "learning by doing". At the didactic level, the evidence gathered provided the professor with significant suggestions for making changes in the new edition of the course (October - December 2017). In particular, will be reserved a specific space in which students from the previous year will act as resources for their companions. It will be interesting to note at the end of the course (December 2017) the students' perceptions of the formative value of the experience and the examination (since February 2018) the possible contribution of the changes made to the quality projects presented.
