Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] This essay offers us a reflection on the design dimension of education, placing the spotlight on the IEP, a tool that can be used with a step that acts in a serial and repetitive way (take care of) and with a step that decides how to take care of things educational (worry about). In this ambiguity we play in a very particular way - we are within day and residential services for disabled people, with a dilated space-time and corresponding to important life trajectories of the people who live in these services, the traction between mission and technique. And there is also the creative contortion between the world of life and the world of education (life projects and educational projects, both individual), as well as the friction between educational environments - service projects - and individual trajectories - PEI. The IEP is a "closed" discourse - which reconfirms what has been thought for that person and at the same time the educational environment given, or it can also be an "open" discourse - which searches for what has been thought with that person and at the same time destructure and creatively restructure the educational environment? The PEI can be read in a continuum that goes from being document to being daily action; writing versus practices or can it also be writing and practices? A contradiction (aut aut) that opens up to the paradox (et et), according to the data of the research, because if it is true that writing can induce compilation - the classic contemporary cut and paste, which has so well replaced the carbon paper of Fordist memory - it can also be the tool that "frames" the action, pushes us to make explicit the perspective and, above all, opens the space for transformation. How? Through three steps: intentional activation of the methodological device, of the link with a political project and of the fictionality of the educational work. The proposal is, in summary, to activate a "panoramic view, from the promontory", or to live design as a second level practice.
