Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] The project Progetto uomo intends to provide a general picture of the ways in which man has interpreted himself in the history of thought. Even in the multiplicity of perspectives, man cannot in fact renounce an overall vision and a personal and responsible assumption of this task. There is no doubt that his nobility and his greatness consist precisely in the power he has of knowing himself, of questioning himself and of tracing a portrait of himself in existence. Each topic analyzed responds to the intent to restore the essential points of reference of this self-understanding that man has offered of himself in different eras.
