[Autom. eng. transl.] In the seventies and eighties of the last century, the emergence of new educational and training needs – in social contexts marked by increasing complexity – favored the emergence of a new professional figure, the pedagogist. The heuristic challenges (epistemological and operational at the same time) which represent the "testing ground" of the human and scientific caliber of the pedagogist are manifold. They have to do with the ability to identify educational and training problems; with the skills to offer strategic coordination responses in interventions and teamwork; with the posture and the cultural, deontological and methodological choices to carry out the orientation, development, evaluation, management of human resources in services, companies, associations and foundations.
