Produzione di cibo appropriato: sufficiente, sicuro, sostenibile

[Autom. eng. transl.] The project aims to improve the nutritional status of some populations through the quantitative and qualitative improvement of agricultural production while respecting the environment. The pilot centers involved in the experimentation are three, located in Italy, India and the Congo and deal with various aspects including: field tests of comparison between conventional soil working and non-processing; evidence of some grain preservation techniques applicable in developing countries; introduction of improved varieties of rice and arboreal plants; proof of adaptability in Congo of some Italian forage species; introduction of improved poultry breeds and new breeding methods. The project involves the establishment of local teams in the developing countries involved, the construction of an information base through the collection of questionnaires (nutritional status and agricultural activities), the increase in productivity and the quality of productions, the improvement of conservation of the products and staff training at pilot centers.
