Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] The essay takes into consideration the legislation of the national councils and local synods held in the chronological period between 1179 and 1215 in order to identify the echoes of reform already present in the legislative texts produced on such occasions that flowed back into the conciliar canons of the IV Lateran. Particular attention is also given to the protagonists of these reform processes at the local level and to their links with the Roman curia.
