Abstract
In the framework of the Greek political practice, the principle of accountability is very clear with regard to the executive magistrates, subjected to a strict control and to accountability, while the jurors are irresponsible. One aspect of particular interest refers to the question of the accountability in decision-making, in particular in the assembly. While the common mentality believed that the assembly was basically irresponsible (it was never wrong in its decisions, but, at most, was deceived), the be st democratic tradition seems to ask a co-responsibility between political leaders and assembly.
