Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] Recent liberalization and privatization processes have significantly changed the reference environment of public utilities, significantly influencing their strategic and organizational choices. The current evolutionary phase is characterized by a high dynamism and variety of development options pursued by companies, as well as by profound innovations in institutional and organizational structures, management and corporate skills. This work addresses the issue of changes in the regulatory context of public utilities, deepening the effects they produce on strategic-organizational choices. The analysis carried out is also based on a case study, AEM Milano, considered particularly useful for the purposes of illustrating the concepts and the topic proposed, by virtue of the significant changes, both in the business system and in the organization, made by the company last years
