Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] The contribution investigates the relationship between the penal system and media activity, in order to better understand the role that the latter currently play. If, on the one hand, media communication "educates" the citizen in his attitude towards deviance, at the same time it generates a sense of insecurity and fear. Faced with the presentation of delinquency as a violent and widespread phenomenon, the demands for criminalization and greater rigor in the punitive response are multiplying.
