Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] Taking a cue from the story of the rejection of a Syrian family that arrived in Italy without any residence permit but whose return home could have been a violation of international law, the article focuses on international constraints, and in particular on the jurisprudence of the European Court of human rights, which are incumbent on the Italian authorities before proceeding to effect the repatriation of foreigners.
