Previsione, interpretazione e soluzione della crisi d’impresa. Analisi dell’economia bresciana

The situation of economic crisis is profoundly affecting civil society and its welfare conditions, reducing its quality level and questioning the choices made to date and wrongly considered lasting, especially by companies. \ r\nIn this context and in order to evaluate under what conditions future years will be addressed, the paper intends to present the overall results of the research developed as part of the Observatory on Crisis and Business Rehabilitation Processes at the Department of Economics and Management of the University of Brescia. \ r\ n In particular, the objectives of the research, with its operational content, areo:\r\na) Economic framework of the main structural and evolutionary characteristics of the Lombard economy, in order to define the reference background of the entire research. \ r\nb) In-depth study of the overall economic and financial situation, in the period of crisis, of the Lombardy Region as a whole and through the main sectors of activity. The analysis was carried out by grouping the companies according to their size and the province to which they belong, using some economic-financial indicators that allow us to examine the evolution of economic conditions and the onset of pre-warning signs of the crisis. \ r\nc) Analysis of the causes and methods of intervention to overcome crisis situations. In particular, the choices are studied with which companies, once the reasons for the crisis have been identified, attempt to resolve it by deepening both corporate economic interventions and the use of the legal tools available for this specific purpose. In more detail, the degree of effectiveness of the institutions proposed by current legislation on agreements between debtor and creditor aimed at overcoming the crisis is analyzed, thanks also to the active collaboration of some courts. \ r\nd) Identification of the main successful regulatory tools for solving the business crisis with particular attention to legal aspects. \ r\ne) Evidence of the role of public bodies and of the related methods of intervention aimed at preventing or creating the correct conditions for solving the business crisis. \ r\nThe output obtained is significant and original, since on the one hand it provides a complete picture of the Province of Brescia and on the other it allows a comparison at the Lombardy level.
