Abstract
Abstract
The need for orthodontic therapies in children is
consistently increasing because of the greater attention
parents pay to their children’s oral health. Nevertheless,
since these therapies are expensive and
often disturbing for the patients, it could be useful
to prevent or reduce the risk of onset of these problems,
which often arise because of a poor education
towards oral hygiene. Pediatricians, which can
observe children closer, should be trained to recognize
promptly these problems, to suggest to the
family the most appropriate interventional strategy.
