Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] The short essay examines the legal approach of the European Union to the question of resolving conflicts of jurisdiction between criminal courts of the Member States of the Union, in the context of an "area of freedom, security and justice" informed by the principle of the circulation of sentences . The issues related to the international ne bis in idem principle are examined in depth and are introduced to the most relevant European and Italian jurisprudence on the subject.
