Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] To ensure the autonomy of rational research and to protect the religious and Christian faith from rationalistic reductionism it is good to keep the distinction between philosophy and religion (and theology). But there is a second, legitimate and complete attention to the first, which deserves to be thoroughly investigated: the unity of life and the act of the believing man or, more generally, of the man who seeks the truth and the meaning of life. In fact the distinction (also of knowledge) finds the point of unity in man and in his tension to reach his ultimate goal.
