Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] Presentation of the collection of contributions that intends to preserve written memory of the conversations carried out in the Catholic University of the SC in Milan on February 25th 2015 in a study day dedicated to Fernando Balestra (February 25th 1952-2 June 2016), in which a fruitful comparison took place and debate among the many people who over the years - on the fronts of different activities - have met and attended sharing projects focusing on the great value of the theater and in particular of the classical theater. The volume is divided into two sections: the first contains the testimonies of those who shared research projects around the "third street of the theater", represented by the staging of classical texts in schools and universities, the second proposes instead the contributions of scholars (G. Ieranò, E. Matelli, M. Treu, A. Rodighiero, G. Zanetto) and artists (A. Calenda, E. Isgrò, L. Piazza, C. Poggioni) on the professionalism of the classic tragic actor and current.
