Abstract

This preface to C. Sparaco's text first focuses on the divergences between Marxism and libertarian radicalism and thematizes the two main logics of '68: the logic of Revolution and the logic of radical-libertarian subjectivism. He then argues that Marxism, libertarian radicalism and these two logics have a lowest common denominator, namely the rejection of moral limitation and not infrequently also the rejection of reality and/or of a given human nature, to be honored and conformed to, when it expresses ethical demands. This is a refraction of a Gnostic conception and way of life (often unconsciously), precisely as a rejection of the moral limit, of reality as it was made, as a rejection of human nature given to man, as an aspiration to break ethical limits, in order to be able to recreate the world or to be able to satisfy any of one's desires, in order to be self-legislators, sometimes in order to be God-like. From here the main Gnostic theses and their implications are then thematized. Finally, are also briefly touched: radical feminism, linguistic manipulations, the importance of historical memory, and contemporary transhumanism.
