[Autom. eng. transl.] What is Outdoor Education? Why are we talking about it more and more? What are its pedagogical roots? What educational value to attribute to the outside? To try to answer these questions, it is necessary to free oneself from the prejudice that outdoor education would be the result of a fashion and as such destined to be consumed in a short period of time, canceling its significance and pedagogical relevance. a luxury for the few, it is our common home, experienced in an authentic way, it becomes a lived life, an opportunity to educate the senses and the sense of life. While assuming different cultural and political perspectives in the various countries of the globe, it starts from the consideration of the natural environment as a value and educational resource, the cornerstone of an experiential universe supporting human development in its different dimensions, to be promoted in dialogue, in mutual learning , in the sharing of experiences, beyond indoctrination, prescription, classroom "imprisonment", harbinger of thought and action.
