Abstract
In introducing the novel I reflect on the evil as principle of individuation, which gives to the existence its uniqueness and unrepeatable; I reflect on the lack of love as cause of the evil; on guiltiness, typical of the lost existence, of which «the silvered snail’s trail» is a metaphor; I reflect on myth and on the force of the word, which is an event that generates a world. The word, in the myth, creates the world: the silence of the word can cause the disappearing of the world, the excess of word can hide the non-life.
