Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] The contribution constitutes the final part of a journey divided into three sections dedicated to the theme "From Corinth to Sicily. The ideological political path of Timoleon" and conducted with doctors A. Nirta and g. Calabrò, aimed at reconstructing the political and ideological, as well as geographical, path of Timoleon with the aim of highlighting how the Corinthian - convinced opponent of tyranny and determined promoter of freedom, according to the testimonies of ancient historiography - was instead endowed with a strong ideological flexibility , which by allowing him to adapt appropriately to every contingent political situation, allowed him to achieve significant results, which do not appear to be those of a disinterested champion of freedom. In particular, this final fragment illustrates how Timoleon, setting himself up as a standard-bearer in the fight against tyrants and for democracy, established an oligarchic regime in Syracuse.
