Abstract

The monographic issue of the journal "Medieval Sophia", the first in the series of the Quaderni della Rivista, intends to propose a series of investigations dedicated to the exercise of power in different regions of the Mediterranean area. The publication examines three main thematic areas: "history writers" and power; kingship, seen through the filter of exercised power and the possibility of negotiation; seigniorial power, city government, consent and opposition. All contributions have been referenced. The volume is equipped with indexes of names and places.
