[Autom. eng. transl.] The legacy of Antonio Rosmini (1797-1855) in Switzerland is an aspect of the thought of the philosopher from Rovereto that is not yet much appreciated by critics, but which constitutes an important contribution to a more complete understanding of some crucial passages of the Italian Risorgimento. The volume, after focusing on Rosmini's first contacts with the cultural and political environment of the Canton Ticino (which resulted in the publication in the Lugano of the Five Wounds of the Holy Church in 1848), shows how Rosmini's involvement with the Swiss reality has concerned not only the Canton Ticino, but Switzerland as such. Also through the contribution he gave to the diplomatic mission of religious pacification of the Swiss cantons in the aftermath of the Sonderbund war, Rosmini was able to test some aspects of his ecclesiological and philosophical-political proposal, leaving a legacy that would have influenced the end of the century, on the creation of the Diocese of Lugano.
