Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] In Milan and in the Lombard territory of the Lombard-Venetian Kingdom, some of the circumstances that put the Austrian power in crisis and brought it to the loss of control of the Italian territories during the so-called Risorgimento were realized. On the one hand, the action of a substantial part of the Lombard nobility, interested in maintaining good relations with the Savoy monarchy and with the neighboring Piedmont, was not extraneous to this outcome, also for the protection of economic interests present in properties beyond Ticino, and on the other hand, the presence of an active member of the Lombard clergy, influenced on the one hand by the pro-Leninist tradition and on the other by the Rosminian lesson, thus participating and open to the new liberalizing orientations.
