«Poesia» tra le stelle

Translated title of the contribution: [Autom. eng. transl.] «Poetry» among the stars

Research output: Contribution to journalArticlepeer-review

The article duscusses the presence of stars in the journal "Poesia" edited by Filippo Tommaso Marinetti, who already in 1902 in the symbolist atmosphere launched a challenge to the heavens with his volume La Conquete des étoilles. From an iconographic point of view, stars even appear on the cover of "Poesia" designed by Alberto Martini, with the heading sorrounded by stars. From a thematic point of view, stars are a recurrent element in a variety of texts published by the journal in its five years of existence. Thematic recurrences are analyzed, till arriving at the Manifesto del Futurismo published on the first issue of the journal's last year, which concluded by shouting an invitation to youth to stand "Ritti sulla cima del mondo" and hurl their "sfida alle stelle!".
