Abstract

The article examines the bimonthly (later monthly) futurist journal published in La spezia in 1933, directed by Fillìa, who was interested among other things in aesthetics of landscape; indeed he intended to glorify the natural beauty of the Italian landscape modified by the hand of man and by industrialization. This topic was linked to promoting tourism in the Ligurian provinces, and involved poems which would extol and publicize that region. For this reason Marinetti announced the Golfo della Spezia poetry contest, in which many Italian poets participated, and whose works were published in the Spezia journal. The event, aside from indicating a new way of undestanding poetry, also testified to the propagandistic and organizational ability of Marinetti and the attention of the Futurists for local regions.
