Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] This paper aims to briefly present the PMI RISK ADAPT project – ADAPT to climate risk in Italian Small and Medium-sized Enterprises: training human resources and managing physical, financial and transition risks towards sustainable development, which addresses two contemporary challenges, the first is adaptation to climate change because, alongside global mitigation policies, in order to reduce emissions into the atmosphere and therefore reduce the causes of CC, complementary adaptation policies are needed, in order to locally limit the consequences deriving from climate change and to exploit the favorable opportunities arising from it. And the second concerns the risks linked to climate change, physical and transition risks, of which companies are already experiencing the consequences. This is a transdisciplinary research, to which scholars from the Faculties of Education Sciences, Agricultural, Food and Environmental Sciences, Mathematical, Physical and Natural Sciences, Banking, Financial and Insurance Sciences contributed, with the main objective of carrying out an analysis aimed at providing operational indications to Italian small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in various economic sectors for the inclusion of climate risk in their planning and programming choices.
