Abstract

This essay analyses the tragedy 'Pilade' by Pier Paolo Pasolini. The points of view are:the relation between ancient and modern tragedy, the anthropological catastrophy and the arrogance of the reason as modern expression of the idea of tragic.The essay analyses also the relations between Pilade and the films and scripts by Pasolini whose sources are in the ancient greek tragedy.
