Abstract
The chapter originally appeared as an article written in Italian in Economia Poltica, vol. II, 1985, pp. 315-332. The essay was originally the recorded text of a commemoration speech delivered at the Fondazione Einaudi in Turin, in December 1983, three months after Sraffa's death.
