Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] In addition to identifying the behavior of Italian SMEs in the international arena, and Brescia in particular, we also plan to outline internationalization models that incorporate Italian and sector / district peculiarities. The research carried out and presented in this contribution is part of a larger study carried out at national level, still in progress, involving several universities: the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart Milan (Faculty of Economics and Linguistic Sciences and Foreign Literature ) and Brescia (Faculty of Linguistic Sciences and Foreign Literature), the University of Bergamo (Faculty of Economics), the University of Macerata (Faculty of Economics). The first results of the research have already been presented for publication (Battaglia, Cedrola, Tzannis, 2008).
