Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] Considering some exemplary texts of modern philosophy, the essay examines some models of response, articulated internally between consistent variants, with which the question on the existence of evil, on its "why" was addressed. The answer was as follows: first model (eg, Bayle, Leibniz, Schelling), because God makes it possible; second model (for example: Leopardi, Kierkegaard), because it is in the nature of men and things; third model (eg, Rousseau), because it occurs in civilization and in history.
