Per un'ecologia della letteratura italiana contemporanea

[Autom. eng. transl.] The book takes into consideration, from the point of view of an ecology of the literary environment, the relationship between the world of twentieth-century Italian literature and its representation by writers. This is a somewhat innovative proposal in outlining the relationships (in many cases not only literary) between the literature of a certain historical period and the environment (literary, but also social, psychological, etc.) in which this literature is born and flourishes. The book is divided into two parts. In the first, the most significant figures of twentieth-century Italian literature are outlined, up to the present day, both in their singularity and in their links with the main cultural movements. In the second part, some themes and topics on which twentieth-century writing was practiced are identified and proposed, such as, for example, the relationship between children's language and poetic language; the relationship between literature and disability; the importance of crime literature for the purposes of overcoming the demands of the historical avant-gardes (especially the Neo-avant-garde); the comparison between writing and the world of sport, both as narrative and as the ability of sports journalism to rise to literary dignity. Figures, paths and themes taken into consideration are proposed always having as reference the texts and their formation in a specific literary "environment". Hence a rich anthological section of pieces in prose and verse, considered exemplary and representative of the individual moments and aspects mentioned above. With an eye towards the main implications of an ecology of the literary environment, the book manages, in this way, to propose to the reader an original and current point of view and interpretative method, and to provide an in-depth tool free of useless technicalities, but adequately specific and documented.
