Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] The contribution provides a well-representative overview of the Neapolitan incunabolistic studies, its main scholars and their works, starting from the early attempts of the last eighteenth century, up to the modern enterprise, urged by Benedetto Croce, by Mariano Fava and Giovanni Bresciano (early Novecento), which remains the last attempt to systematically survey the fifteenth-century print production of Naples.
