Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] The contribution gives an account of the discovery of the second witness of the so-called Palatine editorial office of the 'Novella of the fat carpenter', Milan, Bibl. Ambrosiana, Z 123 sup., Dated 1457. The discovery solves many chronological and philological problems that this version posed: ample space is reserved for all questions. Finally, an integral transcription of the Ambrosian witness is proposed.
