Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] Three unpublished letters sent by Paolo Gualdo to Gianfrancesco Mussato contribute, with news on the chronology, to the history of the library of the humanist scholar Gian Vincenzo Pinelli. The information is integrated with what was exposed by Gualdo in his fundamental 'Vita' by Pinelli (1607), one of the earliest texts among the biographies of learned men, a flowery genre in the 'Res publica litteraria' of modern centuries.
