[Autom. eng. transl.] Over time there has been a set of market transformations and organizational contexts that has contributed to the creation of the concept of human capital and has emphasized the contribution made by human resources. This awareness is configured in the concept of Diversity Management, which can be defined as the enhancement of the personnel and the diversity that characterizes it, in order to eliminate discrimination and give importance to the contribution that each can make to achieve corporate goals and a competitive advantage. Gender balance is a delicate issue that has strongly characterized the business decisions of the last few years. The approval of Law 120/2011 prompted Italian companies to consider and implement Gender Balance policies internally. To meet this need, the book aims to explore, deepen and finally synthesize not only the various contributions of literature in this regard, but also highlight the psychosocial and employment law point of view. The text is intended to be a guide for orientation in the topic of Gender Balance. By virtue of this, in the first part of the book the socio-demographic and employment law theme of the topic is presented starting from the definition of Diversity Management and Gender Balance to arrive at providing a photograph of the role of women in today's labor market highlighting: the differences of role, employment and gender unemployment, as well as the Italian regulatory framework. The second part is the result of the ASAM Innovation Lab aimed at the issues of Gender Balance. For a year the academic and business worlds (public and private) met and collaborated together through an interdisciplinary methodology. Human Resources professionals, lawyers, managers, brought their experience, shared the best operational practices in place at the same table and compared the different approaches to the topic. The chapters of this section of the text represent some examples of specific policies implemented in the organization, as an integral part of the business strategy, to manage gender difference. Each case history reports the path followed by the company: state of the art, processes implemented and results obtained. The text concludes with a re-reading of the theme and of what emerged from the innovation Lab by an expert re-reader of the women's voice. She who created and constantly fed an important blog where important women managers brought their experiences.
