Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] The essay analyzes the television program "Speaking, reading, writing" (1973) as an example of the approach to the genre of cultural TV expressed by Rai in the period immediately preceding the end of the monopoly and the advent of commercial competitors. The reconstruction of the production and authorial history of the program (signed by Umberto Eco, Tullio De Mauro, Piero Nelli) presents the points of tangency with the debate of the time on the Italian language as a cultural and social fact.
