Abstract

The article outlines a summary of some main questions of pedagogical research, focusing on the link between epistemological and methodological aspects. It then recalls some important critical issues of pedagogical research; these are by no means new but stand out as relevant when reflecting on a variety of subjects and approaches such as those in the following articles, all of which originated from a call on the topic of pedagogical research methods. The variety of paths brings to the fore some epistemological, methodological, ethical and political issues that deserve attention to avoid the pitfalls that threaten pedagogical research.
