Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] It is ridiculous if not abhorrent to think of God as someone who has the goal of "winning" on your agenda. His omnipotence stops before our freedom, called, if anything, to be "convinced" or rather "enthralled" in a genuine religious experience. The interiority of the latter is patently secondary or completely absent in almost all that it claims to say or do in its name. The end can only be man, that is to say a humanity made up of unique and unrepeatable faces and stories at the service of which every occasion should appear to us as a supreme grace given to us not so much to show that we are on the right side, but by what part we place ourselves in the eternal and unsolvable confrontation between good and evil, light and darkness, life and death.
