Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] The text, agile and easy to read, boasts a double merit. From a theoretical point of view, it helps to free Jacobi's philosophical proposal from the polemical encrustations and historiographical misunderstandings that have often portrayed him as the supporter of a sort of religious fideism, if not even of an obscurantist mysticism opposed to free science. From a historical-philosophical point of view, however, reaffirming the centrality of the connection with Kant, it highlights how the path undertaken by Jacobi is authentically post-Kantian, although alternative to the predominant transcendental reading carried forward primarily by Fichte.
