Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] What contribution has the pandemic made to the digitalisation of local business practices? The article addresses this question through the analysis of data collected during case research carried out between 2020 and 2021 in Bra who investigated the choices and practices adopted by restaurateurs and food traders in the Cuneo town during the pandemic period. The article reconstructs the digitalization dynamics experienced in this reality and the tools involved. In doing so, the research highlights how the health emergency and specifically the lockdown periods created the context fertile for the implementation of e-commerce practices. In particular, the role played is highlighted by institutional territorial actors to facilitate the digitalization process, as well as the importance of the relationship between merchants and their customers which guides entrepreneurs in their choices. At the in light of this, it is not so much the level of literacy computer science to determine the choice to develop or fewer e-commerce practices, as the horizon space within which the operator limits his own business activities.
